[ A pause. The reset was kind of obvious, given how there was fighting and shit going on at the time, but he's still standing there trying to understand what the fuck happened. It's got to do with the whole time thing, for sure, but. He sounds calm, perfectly calm- but anyone who knew him would be able to tell, he isn't in the mood for any shit right now.

He doesn't have the time for this. ]

Can someone explain what just happened?

[ he's running out of the clocktower and into KHR!verse -- which door, all doors, does it matter? -- where Gokudera and Hibari are fighting. Why the heck hadn't anyone informed him that the Millefiore were awake and moving -- no, he can't blame them, he should have prepared for it, he should have thought about it, but he hadn't seen them so he'd figured -- he'd assumed --

And he'd let their fighting go -- mostly because it had seemed near impossible to stop them, but -- now things are different, now that he knows that the people out to kill them are walking around somewhere. They can't be fighting, they've just come here out of the middle of a mafia war -- they could be blindsided at any moment, and if one of them got hurt --

Stupid. Stupid, stupid -- ]

Gokudera!! Hibari!!

I -- I just talked to Reborn and he says -- he says Byakuran is awake with us --

I just had my list of level 100 Legendary items almost complete and you creeps went and reset it all? Now I gotta go get them all again!

What the hell was that for?

Pffft. At least I kept my levels...

[ A crackle of static; bzzt bzzt bzzzzzzt. Then, a voice comes on. It's an infant's voice, high-pitched and childish, one that you might expect to say 'Mama, mama'. Butut its tone is a completely different matter: it's a little curiosity mixed in with impassivity. It's distanced, professional, and its words aren't anything like what a baby will say at all. ]

Is that it? How troublesome.

[ A crackle, and there's a split second of video feed of Mukuro ( he looks a tad off colour, but maybe it was just the light), before it switches to audio. Wrong button. ]

Wasn't that a surprise. It seems the consequences of this fracas was more than expected, wasn't it?

To the three gentlemen from earlier: would you care to shed some light on the matter?

It's quiet, and by now, you think this is the beginning of another cliché - the unexpected punchline, the surprise around the corner. It probably is, but it starts out simply enough; just the ticking of the big clock up above, long hand slowly moving, slowly angling itself until it's pointing directly at 1. One o' clock, first hour - and everything that was destroyed, every book that was burned, is back in order, back to where it used to, what it was.

And it's the start of the same Christmas week, but no one else but you seems to notice.

The only thing that stayed the same is what you remember, all the new faces you saw, the new people you got along with (or didn't), but to the ones who already lost their gearpiece - you aren't getting it back.

There's something else, though, something that wasn't there before, but it is now. Look up, and you'll see it. There's a 1 on the clock's face, and it doesn't look like it's going to go away anytime soon. Two of the keepers don't look too happy about the new addition, and the middle one looks a bit less energetic.

What's going on?

[The recording flickers on, but there's a few seconds before any sound can be heard. There's a slight hesitation to his voice, but he mostly just sounds very, very annoyed.]

Yeah. This is kind of retarded.

[Pause. He sighs- there's the sound of footsteps, and he's still walking when he speaks again.]

So who else is out there?
27 December 2008 @ 12:08 pm
Hibari! Hibari!

[One sees a small bird fluttering atop a boy's head, circling before perching on his shoulder. Shortly after, one sees a dangerously pissed off Hibari Kyouya]

... Clear out of the tower. You are all crowding.
